Trustees Fund
The majority of our grant funding is aligned to our core grant programmes and strategic priorities, however the Trustees recognise that funding opportunities and challenges may sometimes come to our attention, requiring a more flexible response.
Our Trustees Fund exists to address unforeseen needs, react to time-sensitive funding opportunities and to respond to emerging issues, situations and challenges that align with our mission and value. This flexibility enables the Foundation to act responsively, equitably and strategically when such circumstances arise.
This type of funding is typically directed to support:

- Existing or previous grant partners experiencing unexpected needs or presenting unique and innovative opportunities to support a project or purpose with clearly measurable impact
- Organisations presenting initiatives with a strong alignment to the Foundation’s mission and objectives
- Proposals recommended by Foundation Trustees, Team members or trusted advisors and friends of the Foundation.
The level of funding and reporting requirements vary, depending upon the size, scope and purpose of the grant.
Note:
Grants made under our Trustees fund are generally by invitation only. Grants are awarded upon internal review; unsolicited proposals are rarely considered.
